Bike-Inspired Beer : NYC Belgian-Style IPA

Introducing NYC Belgian-Style IPA, brewed to pair with Pensa x Horse Cycles’ yet-to-be-revealed bike design and the city that inspired it. Captain Lawrence brewer, Scott Vaccaro’s inspiration:  “After riding your ultimate steed through the unforgiving traffic, not to mention the poorly maintained roads, you need a sturdy beer that’s worthy of your thirst. An IPA seemed up for the task but to create a modern twist we brewed it with a Belgian yeast. Complex flavors from the hops and fruity yeast esters balance the light malt bill making this Belgian-style IPA deceptively nimble.”

Pensa + Horse Cycles’ inspiration:  “In New York City, we cycle with purpose. We have somewhere to be, we need to get there, and nothing stands in our way. Our bike design is an elegant and nimble solution to slice between traffic and fit up the stairwell of your five story walk-up. It also has the utility you need, ready to snap into action at a moment’s notice. Is it a clean and stripped down ride? Yes. Is it a utility bike with a unique and practical cargo solution? Yes. Is it tough, safe, and secure to stand up to dense urban living? Yes. In New York, we want it all.”

ABV:  6.5%  |  IBUs:  65
