THE ARTIST : BRAD SIMON PDX-based Brad Simon is a graphic designer, illustrator and typographer whose work has been published and exhibited in the U.S. and overseas. A senior designer at the Portland office of Wieden+Kennedy. He has been recognized by The One Show, The Type Directors Club, Communication Arts, and the Society of Publication Design, among others. THE INSPIRATION “My helmet design was inspired by vintage botanical plate illustrations and the outdoor adventures that take place here in Portland. Combining this inspiration with my character-based illustrations, I looked to design a helmet that contrasted the dark, cloudy days with the bright, colorful people.” ::  Thanks to Nutcase Helmets for supplying the canvas. ::

On July 25, we’ll raffle this helmet off at our PDX bike design reveal party (held at Pacific Northwest College of Art) to benefit our PDX bike advocacy partner, the Community Cycling Center.
