ABOUT THE TEAM
Team Simple Bike Co. comprises a straightforward frame builder and an enlightened mechanical engineer.
Oscar Camarena spent years as laboring for a pair of frame companies, mitering, reaming, bending, sweeping and tacking as he gained a knowledge of the business, an industrial design degree and a desire to be the boss. Now he hand-crafts Simple Bicycles in Yakima, WA. Simple Bikes are just that: simple. No gimmicks; form and function are the basis for the designs. His philosophy is just as direct: produce a better frame that’s built to be ridden.
Kristopher Wehage is a mechanical engineer working in research and development at Full Speed Ahead, Inc. He designs bicycle components, especially mechanisms with multiple moving parts, often collaborating with Oscar at Simple to help him design frames and frame-building equipment. He’s been obsessed with design from a very early age, spending hours searching for the right color Lego brick to complete his youthful creations.
